Dr.Bimal K.bose currently holds the Condra Chair of Excellence in Power Electuonics at the University of Tennessee,Knoxville since 1987.Prior to this,he was a research engineer in General Electric R D Center in Schenectady,NY for 11 years and faculty member of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,Troy,NY for 5 years .He has been in the power electronics area for more than 40 years and contributed widely that includes more than 150 papers,21 U.S.Patents,6 boods and invited presentations,tutorials and keynote addresses throughout the world,Heis the recipient of a number of awards and honors that include IEEE Millennium Medal,IEEE Continuing Education Award ,IEEE Lamme Gold Medal,IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Eugene Mittelmann Award,IEEE Region 3 Outstanding Engineer Award.
