《英語聽力教程》（Listen This way）（第二版）主要適用于高等院校英語專業(yè)一、二年級(jí)學(xué)生，同時(shí)適合師專、教育學(xué)院、廣播電視大學(xué)、成人高校英語專業(yè)學(xué)生及相當(dāng)水平的英語學(xué)習(xí)者。全套教材共分6冊(cè)，每?jī)?cè)配有教師用書和錄音帶。前4冊(cè)以單項(xiàng)技能訓(xùn)練為主，配有一定量的綜合訓(xùn)練，題材接近生活、工作實(shí)際，由近及遠(yuǎn)，涉及面較寬；后兩冊(cè)以綜合技能訓(xùn)練為主，同時(shí)針對(duì)中國(guó)學(xué)生在英語聽力學(xué)習(xí)中的難點(diǎn)、重點(diǎn)進(jìn)行反復(fù)訓(xùn)練，題材以反映社會(huì)、科技領(lǐng)域的新發(fā)展為主。教師用書的內(nèi)容包括教學(xué)提示、練習(xí)答案和全部錄音內(nèi)容的文字材料。學(xué)生用書和教師用書后所附光盤均為全部練習(xí)的錄音。本書為第三冊(cè)，共包括12個(gè)單元，每單元分為6個(gè)部分。內(nèi)容主要包括準(zhǔn)備性練習(xí)、單項(xiàng)技能和相關(guān)微技能訓(xùn)練、與本單元內(nèi)容相關(guān)專題領(lǐng)域內(nèi)的熱門話題或科技新發(fā)展介紹以及具有挑戰(zhàn)性的真實(shí)錄音材料練習(xí)。通過每單元的綜合訓(xùn)練，全面提高學(xué)生的英語聽力水平。
