Carol M. Rumack， M.D.， is Professor of Radiology and Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver， Colorado. Her clinical practice is based at The University of Colorado Health Science Center. Her primary research has been in neonatal sonography of high-risk infants， particularly the brain. Dr. Rumack has published widely in this field and lectured frequently on pediatric ultrasound. She is an American College of Radiology Chancellor， a Chair of the American College of Radiology Commission on Ultrasound， a Fellow of both the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound. She is co-editor of the most recent ACR CD-ROM Ultrasound Learning File Disk. She and her husband， Barry， have two children， Becky and Marc.
