  《跨文化視角英語閱讀教程》1-4冊(cè)是根據(jù)《高等學(xué)校英語專業(yè)英語教學(xué)大綱》(以下簡(jiǎn)稱《大綱》精心設(shè)計(jì)編寫的。《大綱》提出了注重培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的跨文化交際能力和對(duì)文化差異的敏感性、寬容性以及處理文化差異的靈活性。同時(shí)《大綱》又對(duì)21世紀(jì)外語專業(yè)人才的培養(yǎng)規(guī)格作了概述,對(duì)21世紀(jì)外語人才的能力作了如下定義:外語專業(yè)學(xué)生在工作中的運(yùn)用能力主要指能夠從事不同文化間交流與合作的能力、交際能力、協(xié)作能力、適應(yīng)工作的能力、獨(dú)立提出建議和討論的能力、組織能力、知人處事的能力、靈活應(yīng)變的能力等。我們認(rèn)為這不僅指語言的交際能力,而且是跨文化交際能力在工作環(huán)境中的具體體現(xiàn)。本套教程就是為了達(dá)到這一教學(xué)目的而編寫的:它不僅具有英語專業(yè)閱讀教程的特征,注重語言運(yùn)用能力的訓(xùn)練,而且更注重在語言學(xué)習(xí)與教學(xué)中提高學(xué)生的跨文化交際能力。本教程主要有以下特點(diǎn):一、教材編寫體現(xiàn)跨文化交際研究成果教材主要編者都是長(zhǎng)期從事跨文化交際和外語教學(xué)研究的專家,在教材編寫中充分體現(xiàn)了跨文化交際學(xué)科和外語教學(xué)的融合。二、將跨文化交際能力的培養(yǎng)融入語言學(xué)習(xí)與教學(xué)之中語言是文化的組成部分,語言也是文化的媒介,而文化則通過語言得以體現(xiàn),因此語言與文化學(xué)習(xí)不可分割,學(xué)習(xí)語言也是在學(xué)習(xí)所學(xué)語言國(guó)家的文化?!∪?、培養(yǎng)評(píng)判性閱讀與批判性思維能力學(xué)習(xí)課文的目的不僅僅在于理解課文所傳遞的內(nèi)容,還應(yīng)該超越課文內(nèi)容,理解作者的言外之意,聯(lián)想與課文相關(guān)的內(nèi)容與思想。
