  王琳等編著的《酒店英語》根據(jù)目前大學生的實際英語水平和專業(yè)需要,從飯店業(yè)管理涉及的各個方面出發(fā),以飯店組織管理、餐飲業(yè)、住宿業(yè)、市場營銷管理、財務(wù)信息管理、人力資源開發(fā)策略、飯店危機管理和飯店發(fā)展前景八大模塊為主題,共計十六個單元。每個單元包括“閱讀”、“模擬寫作”和“幽默小故事”三部分。第一部分為“閱讀”,包括兩篇文章,內(nèi)容編排結(jié)合理論與實際案例。第一篇文章側(cè)重飯店管理知識和前沿管理理論的介紹,適于深度閱讀;第二篇文章為相同主題的擴充,適于快速閱讀或補充閱讀。每篇文章前面安排有熱身練習,以激發(fā)學生的閱讀興趣和相關(guān)知識;后面安排閱讀理解練習,以綜合鞏固學生的飯店管理知識,旨在從理論和實踐兩方面提供飯店管理專業(yè)知識的同時,提高學生的英語閱讀和翻譯能力。第二部分為“模擬寫作”,旨在培養(yǎng)學生參照范例擬寫和翻譯與飯店業(yè)相關(guān)的英語應(yīng)用文的能力;第三部分為“幽默小故事”,旨在營造輕松的學習氛圍,培養(yǎng)學生的幽默感。
