  《中國西南非英語專業(yè)大學生及教師英語學習信念研究(英文版)》致力于探索:中國西南非英語專業(yè)大學生及其教師的英語學習信念;學習者信念與其性別、專業(yè)以及語言水平的變異模式;教師信念與其性別、學位以及教學資歷的變異模式;非英語專業(yè)大學生與其教師信念的相似性和差異性存在。研究數(shù)據(jù)的獲得采用兩套問卷調(diào)查和半結(jié)構(gòu)式訪談的研究方式。描述性和開方檢驗統(tǒng)計學方法用于分析從學生和教師問卷中收集到的定量數(shù)據(jù)。定性分析方法用于分析從學生和教師半結(jié)構(gòu)訪談中采集到的數(shù)據(jù)。研究結(jié)果表明:中國西南非英語專業(yè)大學生堅信“優(yōu)美的語音對于學習英語非常重要”;他們一般都是“受外在功利驅(qū)使而學習英語”,還認為“課外學習與課堂學習一樣重要”。同時,中國西南大學英語教師堅信“學生如果不知道單詞詞義就該學會猜測”;“學生們應該了解英語文化以便說好英語”;教師們還堅信“他們的學生在公共場合說英語總是感到害羞”。研究結(jié)果表明:學習者信念與學生的性別、專業(yè)和語言水平存在顯著差異;教師信念與其性別和資歷存在顯著差異,但就學歷而言,只有一定差異;此外,學生與其教師信念存在一定的相似性和差異性。
