　　《基本原理》展示了現(xiàn)實(shí)中所有領(lǐng)域的演變理論，是斯賓塞哲學(xué)理念的系統(tǒng)體現(xiàn)。全書(shū)分為上下兩篇，上篇共五章，下篇共二十四章。在書(shū)中，斯賓塞將客觀外在分為“不可知之物”和“可知之物”兩個(gè)層面，可知之物為現(xiàn)象，不可知之物為本體。上篇論述不可知之物。下篇論述可知之物，主要闡釋了現(xiàn)象世界的進(jìn)化論觀點(diǎn)。

作者簡(jiǎn)介

　　斯賓塞（Herbert Spencer， 1820—1903）是19世紀(jì)英國(guó)著名的社會(huì)學(xué)家、實(shí)證主義哲學(xué)家和教育思想家，也是社會(huì)進(jìn)化論和社會(huì)有機(jī)論思想的早期代表人物，有“社會(huì)達(dá)爾文主義之父”之稱(chēng)。注釋者簡(jiǎn)介：馬蕭，武漢大學(xué)外國(guó)語(yǔ)言文學(xué)學(xué)院博士生導(dǎo)師。
