The international education of science and engineering majors is currently developing rapidly. For science and engineering majors, electrical engineering and electronics including lab teaching is an essential professional course. At present, there are few publicly published english text books of electrical and electronic lab tutorials. We hope the textbook can promote international education and bilingual teaching in China. The textbook is divided into 5 chapters. In Chapter 1, the course purpose and requirement are briefly introduced. The lab safe electricity notices are briefly explained. In Chapter 2, basic electronic components are comprehensively summarized, including resistors, capacitors, inductors, transistors, relays, field effect transistors, and thyristor. The structure and principle of some commonly used instruments are systematically outlined, such as oscilloscope, function generator, digital multimeter, electrodynamometer wattmeter, spectrum analyzer, and AC voltmeter. The measurement, significant figures, and measurement errors are universally demonstrated. The principles of AD and DA converter are mainly elaborated. Chapter 3 is the electrical engineering lab parts, including verification of circuit theorems, the measurement of 3-phase AC circuits, and the operation of induction motors and so on. Chapter 4 is electronics lab parts, including amplifier circuits, combinational logic circuit design, rectified DC power supply, and 555 timer applications. In Chapter 5, NI ELVISmx workstation and instrument launcher are briefly introduced. The interface with MATIAB is also elaborated. The publication of the textbook is funded by Jiangsu University of Science and Technology. The authors are grateful to all these experts who have provided the treasured advices. Due to the limited level of authorship, there are inevitable faults and omissions in the textbook. We hope readers to point out and correct them.
