　　A STUDY OF THE EARLY LITERATURES ON THE SILK ROAD是同作者《早期絲綢之路文獻研究》一書的英文版，是作者對早期絲綢之路考證研究的專著。《早期絲綢之路文獻研究》對東方和西方的有關絲綢之路的古代文獻資料進行了細致的考證、研究，求得不同語種文獻的相互印證，從而確認古代東西交流的史實。全書分上卷、下卷、附卷三部分，對于《穆天子傳》、《西域圖記》、《歷史》、《地理志》等中外古籍均有詳實的考證和獨到的比較研究。

作者簡介

　　余太山先生，是著名的中亞古史研究奠基性學者。畢業(yè)于中國社會科學院研究生院歷史系，后于歷史所任職，1993年起為研究員，曾任中外關系史研究室主任。專治古代中亞史、中外關系史?，F(xiàn)為中國社會科學院榮譽學部委員。
