  本書(shū)從喜劇的視角考察了華瑟斯汀各階段的戲劇創(chuàng)作,試圖闡釋兩個(gè)核心問(wèn)題:她如何利用喜劇在當(dāng)代戲劇舞臺(tái)上呈現(xiàn)女性問(wèn)題,以及喜劇這一類型本身蘊(yùn)涵的精神內(nèi)核又如何影響作家對(duì)女性主義的理解和批判。全書(shū)通過(guò)對(duì)其反映“兩性之戰(zhàn)”主題的代表作的分析,論述了華瑟斯汀采用的插曲式喜劇結(jié)構(gòu)的特點(diǎn)及意義,研究了華瑟斯汀對(duì)當(dāng)代美國(guó)女性的舞臺(tái)形塑,試圖對(duì)華瑟斯汀的喜劇思想做一個(gè)系統(tǒng)梳理和總結(jié)。

作者簡(jiǎn)介

  陳琳 英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言文學(xué)博士,南京郵電大學(xué)副教授,美國(guó)弗吉尼亞大學(xué)訪問(wèn)學(xué)者,江蘇省比較文學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)理事。主要研究方向?yàn)楣畔ED戲劇、莎士比亞戲劇、美國(guó)現(xiàn)當(dāng)代戲劇、戲劇理論、性別研究,曾在《外國(guó)文學(xué)評(píng)論》《國(guó)外文學(xué)》《外國(guó)文學(xué)》等核心期刊發(fā)表論文多篇,主持江蘇省哲學(xué)社會(huì)科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目“西方古典喜劇的身體研究”。
