This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Symposium on Biological and Medical Data Analysis, ISBMDA 2006, held in Thessaloniki, Greece, in December 2006.The 28 revised full papers and 16 revised poster papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 91 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on functional genomics, sequence and structure analysis, biomedical models, databases and grids, semantics and information modelling, biomedical signal processing - time series analysis, biomedical image analysis and visualisation techniques, biomedical data analysis and interpretation, as well as decision support systems and diagnostic tools.
