驛外斷橋邊，寂寞開(kāi)無(wú)主。已是黃昏獨(dú)自愁，更著風(fēng)和雨。

無(wú)意苦爭(zhēng)春，一任群芳妒。零落成泥碾作塵，只有香如故。

A Plum Tree

（to the tune of Bu Suan Zi）

By the wrecked bridge outside the post-stop,

Blossoms of a plum tree without anyone's care.

To her loneliness at sunset,

Are added the miseries of foul weather.

She doesn't want to lead others in prettiness,

And ignores enemies of all.

Yet her fragrance will remain,

Even when her fallen petals are ground into dust.
